Most people, even Libs, are sympathizing with Iran to some degree right now. That's how bad Trump fucked up this war. They just want it to stop, to the point they can't even really see Iran as a big bad. No matter how much the media tries, the people have like "big bad guy" fatigue.

So they are trying to get Iran involved with an already established fight. "Ok we can't get ppl to hate Iran on its own but we are still able to get them to gobble up any pro Ukraine bullshit we spew. So let's get them to attack Ukraine and then we can play the Putin card."

This is the war version of the way they tack on unwanted shit onto other bills to get them into laws. I mean, just look at this post. Normal Iran posts don't get too many immediate comments and I haven't really seen anyone being blatantly anti-Iran in them. But this post? Mentioned Ukraine and a fed warped in immediately. lol

I agree it's desperation on the part of Ukrainian leadership, though I'm not sure that it would instigate anything resembling a world war (even if that may be what the Ukrainian Nazis are hoping for). Iran is already fighting / has fought off the US and israel, and various empire states have helped with the empire side of things, even if somewhat indirectly. Given the restraint Iran has shown consistently so far, the likelihood is that it would do a tit for tat with Ukraine and then stop, and like... what would the EU do for example? Condemn Iran when it already tends to militarily support the US against it? All I see it accomplishing is Ukraine accelerating its fall by pissing off Iran and getting hit proportionally harder, relative to the remaining strength it has.

Just because their drones can reach Moscow doesn't mean Ukraine is actually winning on the frontlines. In fact, slowly but surely town after town is taken by Russia.

I mean, even if Zelensky is not the best, does it really seems that worst compared to the current political system in Russia ? Or would you disagree that Putin is an authoritarian dictator ? My land? I do not own any land or country and do not wish so. Currently, western countries are owned and controlled by the capitalist class, so they can fight if they want.

Existential threat, like, for example, being non-western aligned and having your neighbor be part of the "eradicate and enslave the not-aligned" organisation aka NATO.

Yeah i don't think any of that is happening in Russia right now. I am sure there is physical abuse in such strong and patriarchal hierarchies, but definitely not on the level of ripping away mentally disabled people and putting them in a suicide squad. All active russian soldiers are, i think at least, volunteers (in the liberal sense, monetary coercion invalidates pure volunteering in a communist sense i believe).

The american hegemony being weakened, while the axis of resistance (Russia, China, Iran, Democratic People's Republic of Korea etc.) gets stronger.

This, in turn, should allow for socialist revolutions to be much more possible in the world as the links of the imperialist chain have weakened.

This make sense. And what would be the endgoal ? A political system like the one in China, Russia, Iran or North Korea? While being aligned temporarily, they don't seems to promote the same ideal. Maybe the endgoal is more to have a socialist revolution that would create an entirely new system ?

Hopefully Russia will have a return to socialism at some point, yeah. Though I don't expect it to be easy.

But of the key anti-imperialist powers in the world, China appears to be the strongest in every way and it is run by a communist vanguard party. So that may help in terms of the peoples of non-socialist countries looking at China as a good example and going "wait a minute, this capitalism stuff is kind of a dead end, isn't it?" Comparatively, in post-WWII, the US was positioned extremely well due to its manufacturing base at the time, its connection to pre-existing colonialism, and largely being unmarred by the war while so many other countries were damaged by it, and so it was able to export capitalism as imperialism, both with violence (which it did prolifically) and with the appearance of prosperity attached to capitalism (which was somewhat deceptive, as it was a more situational prosperity than something arising out of capitalism intrinsically).

Now we are heading toward a path where that may flip in perspective. Where China is the manufacturing base of the world and, with the help of a socialist guiding hand, is able to show advanced cities and systems, while the US is still dragging its feet on public transportation and producing a mob boss style openly white supremacist president. China is also building mutually-beneficial relationships for a while now. Where the US influence declines, China will more be there offering an alternative - an alternative that is not coercive and "win-lose", but is instead "win-win". This will not on its own create revolutions, but it will help countries transition away from the exploitative dependent relationships of imperialism and toward self-determination. Making them more equipped to chart their own path, whether that is something explicitly communist or something more akin to Iran's anti-imperialist nationalism and promotion of regional independence from imperialism. But perhaps more importantly, make them more equipped to thrive as a people in day to day things that some of us take for granted, instead of being underdeveloped and exploited by imperialism.
