One of the three islands nestled in the outer seas of Tanzanite. Zeogard is a mysterious island nestled further south of the continent.
The environment is a large, bioluminescent mushroom land where it's more or less permanently nighttime. You'll know your close when it suddenly shifts to the dark. Best be careful wandering around carelessly if you can't handle shrooms.
Species include Spore Spiders and the Kiwisee; which are giant Kiwi Birds that roam the land. Not many major factions originate from here but there's some native life like crabs that blend in with the shroom caps and anthropormorphic flightless birds.
The blue tone looks pretty good on this map. Maybe using bright spots could show the places with more fungal vegetation, for example in valleys where water is more abundant for the crabs to thrive.
Does the red colored island mark a different breed of fungi?
I am in the middle of an; albeit slow, map making project for a different continent so that might not be a bad tip if I go and touch up some canvases for updating.
The red is a bit of a different breed yeah; specifically a nastier form of fungus that causes some pretty horrible side effects, people reporting seeing their worst thoughts come back for em. The superstitious often link it to demonic activity but nobody's been able to confirm or deny that one and the locals usually don't like to venture up there either or.
