They fundamentally do not understand the issue.

It's like if someone grew up thinking the words "beautiful" and "gorgeous" were bad words that everyone hated, and keep calling things "beautiful" and when everyone else agrees and thinks the things they're calling beautiful are a good thing, they step back to scratch their heads and decide to use "gorgeous" instead, thinking that will in any way help them in telling people they think the thing is bad.

A long time ago I found out that we pay a lot in taxes for Healthcare. I asked why we have to pay for Healthcare again, why don't taxes pay for it? My dad said that was socialism. I asked why that's bad and got sent to my room for arguing "it just is" isn't a real answer. In hindsight it is a little funny how much my parents encouraged me to learn things and then got upset when I learned things and had independent thought.

My dad did same shit then upset that I am raging far leftest, when he taught to always question everything.
