Florida evangelist Whitney Lynn uses most of her flights as an opportunity to share her faith, a trend that was featured in a recent Washington Post article. On Thursday, she said, her sermon got her kicked off a San Diego-bound jet before it even took off from Orlando International Airport. She documented the removal in a series of videos she posted on social media, one of which had racked up 3 million views on Instagram by Friday afternoon.

If someone did this on my flight I'd demand to be let off. Any religious fundamentalist making a public spectacle to a captive audience should set alarm bells ringing. There's nothing that woman wouldn't do if she's willing to do that and feel she's perfectly justified.

Can you imagine if a person of Islamic faith stood up before a flight and started preaching from the Quran? You'd have SWAT on that plane before they finished "Praise be to Allah!"

I wouldn't be asking to be let off, I would be asking them to address the situation and either escort her off the plane or force her back to her seat to stay silent for the rest of the flight, and maybe compensation depending on how egregious it gets before the airline steps in and shuts it down. Doesn't really surprise me coming from evangelicals, but I would be reminding the airline that I did not agree to be subject to selfish people holding the other passengers hostage to preach at them in their terms and conditions, and this is not the experience I paid for. I doubt the airlines would agree, but I think this is a nuisance that other customers should be compensated for putting up with.

It doesn't even matter if it's religious, someone attempting to talk to the entire plane is unacceptable

So... Not a fan of the safety demonstration, I guess? 😛

I would be initially quietly demanding they duct tape her to a seat, as they are known to do. Its a long flight, I ain't putting up with this
