I love The Warriors, but my favorite PS2 games were the Tekken, Soulcalibur, and Tony Hawk games... wait, are they considered multiplayer or just versus?
Tony Hawk has cooperative modes though.
If you had a friend over once, they were considered multiplayer.
I never had a PS2, I was the friend over :)
Soul Calibur 3 has a campaign mode that's really good. It's single player, but my roommate and I played it co-op by each making our own characters, choosing their movements, and then playing the fights for our characters.
