Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
- Politeness.
- AI-generated comics aren't allowed.
- Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.

Student wrote a dogshit essay at university, professor marked it as a fail because it was dogshit, student uses right wing tactics of screaming like a baby about discrimination to appeal the grade, university suspends professor due to political pressure, other professors back up original professor saying the essay was just dogshit.
Where can we read the initial paper? Im sure the girl trying to get gold in the victim olympics posted it somewhere to feel justified. Id love to see for myself.
Edit: Muxika has posted the paper in this thread. Yeah its a dogshit F paper. Its a poorly formatted rant with no synthesis of new ideas, rehashing or contemplation of old ideas and somehow completely ignores history.

It doesn't read like a university standard work to me. The writer doesn't even cite the Bible. I do better in my Lemmy arguments LOL
Yeah, it's not terribly surprising that the essay was failed. That's barely high school level and even there it wouldn't be a good effort.
also, to the edit, it completely ignored the assignment.
I haven't seen the assignment or Rubric yet. Where's that found?
I've not seen that specifically linked, but here's a video by Forest Valkai going over it. Including the the response from the instructor explaining exactly why she got a zero. (this link will start right before that section.)
I appreciate the video, but does he link the actual assignment or rubric? I know I can get a million opinions on it and I've seen the paper, but I want to know what the wording of the actual assignment is.

the timestamp I linked the forest video is him reading a screen grab from the instructor's response as to exactly why they got the grade they got. one reason was not addressing the article in an assignment that was to react to an article. Which- also as Forest had said elsewhere- is a fairly normal type of essay to write up for anything related to science.
there's also a significant corpus of messaging board conversations with other students where the student was very offensive.
It would be a free speech issue if she was, for example, suspended from the university for the opinion. It just seems like it's a bad piece of work to me. The marker even says it had nothing to do with her opinion
