sucks my local library system has next to nothing good on the shelves. hard to browse. i can order nearly any book and have it at my branch in 48 hours though but it takes something away from the experience and makes it internet brained and impersonal again. oh well

at least one of the librarians has an undercut and dyed hair and seems cool AF (there's always at least one, even out in the sticks)

Yep. Librarians are often the coolest people. Even in places that seem to be horribly oppressive conservative sinkholes.

My local branch never has what I want, and since recent budget cuts it takes over a week now for them to deliver books from other branches.
