It's been a while, but I thought the theory that MaxwellHill was Ghislaine had been debunked, And it turned out the user was some guy in Malaysia who lived near a place known as Maxwell Hill?
It's entirely possible I've fallen for a smokescreen, but also there never seemed to be a whole lot of evidence that account was Ghislaine's other than the name "Maxwell", which is pretty common.
No that "debunking" doesn't hold up. It's not a Malaisian man.

Most interesting development is the timing of when the MaxwelHill got added to the mod team again.
The account itself does not appear to have a post history since Ghislaine got "freed". So adding it to the mod team of one of the biggest Reddit subs at that timing is just... Weird...

It's funny you link to that ycombinator comment when the one right after links to an article that again debunks the claim as unfounded & inconsistent. So, cool conspiracy theory & cherry picking.

And why? Like why would they or she do this? Just make another anonymous account if she actually cared to mod worldnews lol.
Reddit hiding sub counts not long after someone saw member counts varying by millions wildly to me seems like the bigger controversy.

There's no definitive evidence, just a bunch of coincidences like the month of birth but especially the active account stopping when she went to jail. And now getting mod when she's released.
It's really suspicious for sure, I was just hoping to see it confirmed
