On my client I see 4 posts in the last 2 years, is that right?
Oh wow, it's odd that only those are showing. Admittedly I've been kind of lax about making the weekly threads, but there's certainly a lot more than four in the last two years!
This seems to happen a lot on Lemmy and I have no idea why
Only one of those four is a weekly post
Your Lemmy instance only fetches posts from an other instance's community if at least 1 person on your instance is subscribed to it.
If that's the case why do I see random posts over 2 years
When I subscribe it should load them all
Perhaps someone on your inatance was last subscribed to it 2 years ago. When you subscribe, your instance doesn't tend to fetch older posts, only posts made after subscribing.
