Yes.
Cops are not judge jury and executioner, and they should be able to de-escalate almost any situation, it's literally their fucking job.
Never mind that most other police forces around the world, while also bastards that serve capitalism and the state, still manage to enforce their authority without guns. So maybe just stop there for a minute and think about that entirely fucked up statement you just made.
