I wish there were an EU alternative to Kagi. All other search engines pale in comparison and I just canโ€™t deal with ads any more. I can only hope that Proton are looking in to search

What are the advantages compared to searxng?

No trial? Any way to test it before paying?

I thought it was Dutch? Did they sell to PE or something?

Startpage is owned and operated by Surfboard Holding BV, The Hague, the Netherlands, which is majority owned by System1, an American internet advertising company.

Did not know, thanks. That sucks because it's a great search engine.
