Rules
  1. Follow the aussie.zone rules
  2. We are not a generic World News clone. News must be relevant to Australians and our region. Obvious disregard will earn an warning and then a ban if continued. (If an article isn't from an Oceanian news outlet, and it doesn’t mention Australia, then it’s probably off-topic)
  3. Leave seppocentrism at the door. If you don't know what that means, you're not ready to post here yet.
  4. Avoid editorialising headlines. Opinions go in the comments, not the post.

In short:

A US immigration officer has shot and killed a woman in her car in Minneapolis, officials say.

The mayor says the Trump administration's claim the incident was self-defence is not true, and told Immigration and Customs Enforcement to "get the f*** out of Minneapolis".

What's next?

A Minnesota official says the state will investigate the shooting with federal authorities.

Yeah I think it is definitely time for a general strike. There's a list of serious grievance as long as my arm, but even just to demand that the murder is charged with murder would be a good move. A line has to be drawn somewhere. And if murdering civilians has not cross the line, then wtf?
