A place for for news, discussion, memes, and links criticizing capitalism and advancing viewpoints that challenge liberal capitalist ideology. That means any support for any liberal capitalist political party (like the Democrats) is strictly prohibited.

A zero-tolerance policy for bigotry of any kind. Failure to respect this will result in a ban.

3 No capitalist apologia, anti-socialism, or liberalism, liberalism is in direct conflict with the left. Support for capitalism or for the parties or ideologies that uphold it are not welcome or tolerated.

4 No imperialism, conservatism, reactionism or Zionism, lessor evil rhetoric. Dismissing 3rd party votes or 'wasted votes on 3rd party' is lessor evil rhetoric.

5 No bigotry, no racism, sexism, antisemitism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, or any type of prejudice.

6 Be civil in comments and no accusations of being a bot, 'paid by Putin,' Tankie, etc. This includes instance shaming.

The same way we got a gradual slide to the left in the preceding 200 years under the same system. As that was voter intention.

Propaganda doesn't help. Allowing corporations and the wealthy outside influence in speech doesn't help. Undermining education doesn't help. A complicit media doesn't help. However, it's not the system of voting that is the problem that is causing the swing right. It can just as easily cause a swing left. In increments.

Incrementalism does not work, incrementalism results in incremental fascism.

In 1984, James Baldwin said

You always told me it takes time.

It’s taken my father’s time, my mother’s time. My uncle’s time. My brother’s and my sister’s time. My nieces’ and my nephews’ time.

How much time do you want? For your progress.

He apparently had been hearing that it takes time, progress takes time, all of his life. Incrementalism is something that liberals tell themselves is the only path forward because they know that they have no plans for actual progress forward.
