..and the 2025 budget is nearly 30 billion, with an addition 45 billion for constructing new detention centers, with another 10 billion into unallocated DHS funds, plus more…

Look, the democrats are evil. But they are not the same level of evil we are seeing right now with this current administration. Posts like this one that selectively show information to reinforce “both sides are the exact same” narratives are not what’s needed right now.

Now in all fairness, inflation is a thing and in the last 10 years there has been a lot of noise about stopping fentanyl. Dont forget that the C is Customs.

It's the same bullshit some users pushed on this platform for the previous election. "vote third party because democrats also support Israel", how did that go? I'm sure Kamala would have behaved just like Trump, since both parties are the same huh?

I am just from small shitty european country, but I think thats the main point, you need to vote for third, fourth hell even fifth party, because the binary selection is exactly the culprit. We have government consisted of 6 parties, that brings you closer to freedom. In US you are choosing from bad or even worse.

Yeah, I'm not sure where this coming from. I have mixed feelings about the OP and your comment. And I think it's just a result of a lot of propaganda of division we all have been subjected to.

Really, it's meaningless to talk about two pro capitalist parties. It was inevitable that we reached this stage under the red one. But that doesn't mean the blue one wasn't a part of the scam that got us here.

Yes. This IS different. It's been the destination for awhile. But the steps have been taken by both of these parties that serve the interest of capital, imperialism, and white supremacy.

If you can't look at the absolute useless inaction of the Democrats today, as we stare fascism in the face. Well, I think you should reflect on why they are so silent. Their job of being a controlled opposition party is essentially over.

Dems never controlled congress during the Biden years. Budgets have to get congress approval to pass. Thus, compromises must be made to get anything done.

Democrats control the house with Nancy Pelosi as speaker from 2021 to 2023, it was a 50/50 split in the Senate with Harris being the tie breaker 2021-2023 with Chuck Schumer as the Senate majority leader. During this time they gave ice the largest increase in federal spending they've ever received and have increased dramatically the number of ice detention Center beds
