Don't fall for it kids. It's snake oil.

Culmination of his life's work implies it's a copy of Black & White buried under a mountain of bullshit.

Fable was also decent because I think the hype at the time was literally just “the main character changes if you’re good or evil” and “you can buy houses and get married.”

He could make a decent game in the past when he didn’t embarrass himself.

Nah, Fable had mountains of bullshit, too.

From simple things like having a dragon boss fight (didn't happen), or dynamics between you and rival heroes (it's all scripted and only involves one) to extreme bullshit like "you can carve your name in a tree and 30 years later it will still be there!" (not even as a scripted event is this a thing)

Like, it wasn't a terrible game, but it is far and away from being the game Pete promised.

The dog was supposed to be so much more in fable.

Spore was supposed to have simulated physics for the creature phases...

I am glad the Thrive community has some torch bearers still pushing for it.

Spore was supposed to have algorithmic animations based on how you constructed them, but EA did not give Wright the time or resources to do half of what he wanted, and none of his promises were straight lies about what even would have been possible at the time.
