Hi! I'm using an android-based OS on my phone (no gplay service though), and looking for a foss (and privacy-friendly) app to share my screen on TV through mi box. Is there such an app out there ? Cheers,

I think casting (at least screen mirroring) is already built-in Android even without Play Services.

Try going into the Settings App > Connected devices > Connection preferences > Cast.
Alternatively try finding it with the search function, or try the Miracast Shortcut app from F-droid for quick access.

On the MiBox side (I also have one) you shouldn't need to do anything, it should always show up on the Cast menu on your phone no matter what's going on, but if it doesn't they also ship with a Cast app you can open and see if it shows up then.

Hi, thanks a lot for you reply, I did tried miracast, but nothing shows up, I'll dig into it later. I'm running Graphene here, so there may be a security feature blocking casting, I should investigate this as well.

Ah, I don't have Graphene so I can't test that, but take a peek at the 3 dot menu on the corner, it's easy to miss

Also try opening the Casting app on the MiBox and ensure both devices are on the same network, sometimes the MiBox was on the 5Ghz network but my phone was on 2.4
