I put on Trump’s speech

Put on Carney's speech. It'll make you much more hopeful that some leaders are starting to get it. The Nerve's Carole Cadwalladr published a full transcript in her newsletter earlier today.

Yeah, I listened to it yesterday. It was fantastic, made me feel energized and excited for my country, even though shit is about to get tough.

Trump, by comparison, just sounds like a rambling retiree who should be in a home.

Yeah, it's amazing that the US media let him get away with the "Sleepy Joe" accusation/jibe/meme when Trump was already looking and sounding doddery in his first term. I guess you can do anything in the USA if your supporters control most of the press.

half the US no longer thinks Trump did anything wrong with Epstein.

the US is a brainwashed failed state. The constitution was a great idea, but it’s a first draft that clearly is flawed when the checks and balances decide they want a king.

Where are you getting that from? Reuters/Ipsos polling last month said that only half of Republicans approve of Trump's handling of the scandal, resulting in it being less than a quarter of the US. Of the whole survey, 52% disapproved.

Time will tell. They may yet recover, or you may be right and things get even worse.

It’s the 27th draft - there are 27 amendments to the constitution. Seems like it’s due for some more amendments for the modern era. It’s supposed to be a living document - at least that was the original intention.
