It is at least why the model Y and the model 3 got their names. I think the model S was named by Tesla's founders and the X may be just because musk has been obsessed with naming things that since PayPal (if not before).

The 3 was supposed to be an E but but Ford owned the naming rights.

But the goal was to make.. the naming was supposed to spell out SEXY... that's so embarrassing.
