People stop growing once they gain enough power or ability to avoid it. Elon seems to really resonate with the people who don't have friends and live in their parents' basement because both have an adulthood defined by not needing to mature as an adult and not having the internal drive to do it anyways. It is at least why the model Y and the model 3 got their names. I think the model S was named by Tesla's founders and the X may be just because musk has been obsessed with naming things that since PayPal (if not before).

About ten years ago I was going to get that one One Piece tattoo with a very close friend because we had bonded over the show and wanted to be close for life. It was a simple “X” on the forearm.
He kept laughing it off when I tried to actually coordinate getting it done, then one day he showed up and had it done alone because “he didn’t think I would do it”. Clearly didn’t want me to follow suit either.
