How do you or anyone know this? Im not aware of any green carcinogenic gas that springs immediately to mind. Giving someone cancer in several years also isnt a great crowd control method.

The reddit thread said it was likely HC gas and then listed each ingredient and its toxicity. The green/yellow dye (yellow 22?) is a suspected carcinogen and the zinc whatever is some other kinda yucky. The carcinogenic effect isn't why they use it, they just don't care.
