Vic emergency map has a cool new feature - the little red triangle with the warning "evacuate immediately" now has the red triangle and a little running man blinking on and off. Really stands out. Check it out at the Otways fires.
You should have a look at bushfire.io it includes the information from the Vic Emergency app, and also has overlays with the wind speed/direction, satellite detected hot spots which show where the fire is actively burning, and where the fire fighting aircraft are. It's really interesting and I presume it takes a bit of pressure off the Vic Emergency app and helps stop it getting overloaded.
