Deflategate was bullshit, Spygate was legit, although the issue wasn't that they were taping, they were just taping from the wrong place. Plenty of teams have been caught doing that over the years and they didn't get the book thrown at them /shrug
Genuinely surprised to see people arguing deflategate over here. Thought everyone realized that was a kayfabe ratings grab.
Not only was deflategate bs, the Pats won that game 45-7.
I think shrugging is the right response. He's a known cheater, he got caught, and it damaged his reputation a bit. Meh, good, that's normal. If you wanna be universally praised, probably better to play the game by the rules.
The only people clinging to the cheating allegations are the sore losers who need an excuse to make themselves feel better about being beaten, but at least plenty of his peers and former opponents have enough principle to call this for what it is.
