Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.

MODERATORS

So we've gone up from 4th Amendment violations to the 5th Amendment. Soon it'll be 6th, and the 13th is a little shaky.

You can't beg Democrats because you handed the government to Republicans, again.

[–] hector@lemmy.today -1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Yeah let's pass the buck for the democrats some more. They are clearly the best people to run the opposition! /s

[–] MiddleAgesModem@lemmy.world 0 points 19 hours ago* (last edited 19 hours ago)

You allowed Trump to come to power. That makes you a scumbag. You want to pretend like you have the high ground when you helped a convicted felon, pedophile who tried to overturn our democracy and is currently destroying the country get elected? Absolutely not.

[–] the_crotch@sh.itjust.works 0 points 2 days ago (3 children)

Yeah, who wouldn't get super motivated to go out and vote for "we are terrible but we could be worse"

[–] MiddleAgesModem@lemmy.world 0 points 19 hours ago

What the fuck is wrong with you people? How can you HONESTLY believe that Harris would be anywhere NEAR this bad? You can't.

There's no "could be" you fucking moron, read the news.

[–] LifeInMultipleChoice@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Option 1: They invade cities

Option 2: They don't invade the cities

Option 3: Don't give a fuck about the people in the cities <- This is the option you are supporting here

[–] the_crotch@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

You just rephrased "we are terrible but could be worse".

[–] MiddleAgesModem@lemmy.world 0 points 19 hours ago

"Could be"... I think we're beyond "could". So fucking stupid.

[–] hector@lemmy.today -2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Yes you knew those candidates couldn't win and forced them on us anyway. So admit your mistake.

[–] MiddleAgesModem@lemmy.world 0 points 19 hours ago* (last edited 19 hours ago)

Yes you knew those candidates couldn’t win and forced them on us anyway. So admit your mistake.

She "couldn't win" because you stupid fucks refused to vote for her, because apparently you think Donald Trump would be a better president.

How about you stop pretending like you didn't play a part in bringing this about by being a short-sighted doofus?

No one "forced her" on you, she was the Vice President, the person we choose to take over for an incapacitated president.

I want you to to stop hiding behind generalities like a fucking coward. Spell out right here why you think Trump, after all we've seen, is better than Harris.

You morons made the mistake. You're phoney as shit, you don't care about liberal policies, you're an immature child throwing a temper tantrum.

[–] timbuck2themoon@sh.itjust.works 7 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Imagine being so daft that you aren't voting as a civic duty, let alone against fascism.

By not doing that you ensure that more drastic measures HAVE to be taken later on. Great job non voters.

[–] the_crotch@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I didn't say whether I voted or not. I said the Democrats messaging wasn't exactly the stuff of inspiration.

[–] MiddleAgesModem@lemmy.world 1 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

Why won't you say if you voted or not?

[–] the_crotch@sh.itjust.works 1 points 18 hours ago

Nobody asked me if I voted. They just assumed I didn't because I said the Democrats ran a shitty campaign that failed to energize people. It doesn't matter anyway, harris won my state by a huge margin.

[–] hector@lemmy.today 0 points 1 day ago (2 children)

You are defending the party that refuses to be popular in a country that chooses leaders based on popular elections. Think about that, while you think about how doing the same thing expecting different results is the definition of stupid, as you prepare to browbeat and yell down everyone for the next aristocratic corporate whore offering nothing but empty platitudes to a population in the face of republicans cheating.

You people have made our situation hopeless, unwilling to admit a mistake you are dragging us all into the abyss.

[–] MiddleAgesModem@lemmy.world -1 points 19 hours ago

refuses to be popular

Yeah that must be it. OR you think a pedophile convicted felon is the better choice for president.

[–] timbuck2themoon@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I'm not saying they can't be better.

I'm saying people should vote as a civic duty and maybe shouldn't be complete jackasses who sit at home and let fascism win. Two things can be true at once.

[–] hector@lemmy.today 0 points 1 day ago (1 children)

And I am saying that without getting popular opposition, and at this Point aggressive opposition with organization behind them, a group that knows how to build and run a political machine, then there is zero chance of rescuing the republic. You guys refuse to engage that point and bring it back to if only everybody believed harder and voted. Everybody went way out of their way to get Biden elected in the face of attempts to fix it for republicans, and he did absolutely God damn nothing with it. Then settled us with a doomed to fail candidate, and he was doomed to fail if he stayed in either.
