I assume these have an explosive payload. If it’s remote controlled, why not also have a remote detonator?

I figure that’s the default. But that’s what I would expect for guided munitions not a drone. A drone implies some sort of remote control capability. And if you’ve already built that in, why not go one step further and just add a trigger.

Say you have 10,000 drones and it costs ~$100 for that trigger. These numbers are made up but I think the additional costs would add up quickly. All just speculation of course.
