  1. Like the other poster said, Roma and Syrian refugees are not put into cages and we do not round them up. They get care.

  2. EU nations do not have a two-party system and other parties know better that fascists should not be given power even if they win elections, which is what's been happening, unless they can form a majority coalition of fascist parties, which will be much harder to do for them.

  3. No. We are still serfs to the US. In fact, I don't trust some of the Syrian refugees, since I've seen the Iranian ones flying King-flags at rallies recently.

  4. I'm not sure about the poster, but you are right about the 'not doing better' part, but the situation here is different. We're going to economically fall apart soon thanks to the unwaivering serfdom to the US by our politicians, yet we are simply too close to China and to a lesser degree Russia not to be influenced by their economic and military might and it's a matter of time before we'll see a reverse iron curtain fall here.

My point wasn't about how similar or different racism is there, but that it's a reality, I've seen underreported news about Roma and Syrian tents being set on fire by racists with no accountability, and South Asians being murdered by Neonazis in Britain in particular, and I don't even consume news from Europe that much. It's not that you have full fledged concentration camps, but that so many of your governments either ignore or encourage racism and other reactionary attitudes so they can scapegoat random minorities instead of attempting to combat economic injustice.

I believe the system is already bad when Roma and other marginalized people suffer, but I also believe it won't get better without attempting to improve it, and without communist countries next door to force your elites into expanding welfare I'm not sure you'll get what you deserve and need.
