First half:

Potentially unpopular opinion but Fern and Stark felt more like adoptive siblings at this point. Still, it was a cute date, and I can see them becoming a proper couple in the future.

Second half:

My first impression of the dude living in that dangerous forest was that he's suspicious, and would be revealed to be a demon or someone malicious.

It's a miracle that his family could even survive in such a hostile environment - how would his children even have a childhood?! Perhaps the family has some powerful demon-repelling magic that spans a significant area, covering more than just their house?

On a side note, the way Fern's barrier shattered into butterflies is peak.
