MODERATORS

It seems that a lot of new people have learned about these platforms from a popular post on Reddit. We currently see ~~78 notifications (and counting) and a pile of applications on piefed.ca~~ too many registration applications for me to keep this up to date.

I am pinning this thread on both platforms for new users to pop in to and ask questions. Please give them a warm welcome!

Please let us know how we can help! For example, here are some tips on finding communities: https://fedecan.ca/en/guide/lemmy/for-users/how-to-find-communities The guide says Lemmy, but the steps are the same on Piefed

Since a lot of people arrived here from r/BuyCanadian, maybe you will be interested in !buycanadian@lemmy.ca

Another thing you can try is force refreshing the page. On a lot of browsers, you can do that by hitting the refresh button while holding down the shift key

None of that applies, I'm using the default theme, I haven't changed addons on firefox for a long time, literally just woke up one day and they were gone.
It's not about refreshing because I completely deleted the cookies and cached content from here (hence how I saw that while logged out the downvote arrow was there again).
Already checked on my pc and it's the same so it's not a local device thing.

Hi sorry for the delay, are you still having this problem?

Could you try on one of the other frontends? If you are able to downvote on those pages but not on the main interface, that might help narrow the problem down:

On both Photon and Blorp I can see the downvote button, but it gets reverted when I press it or whenever I refresh it's as if I never downvoted at all.
I still can't see them on default PieFed.ca
