Agreed. It demonstrates the fatal weakness of fascism in war though, fascism interfaces with humans in a way that always devalues them.

A single engineer can change the course of a war, but used as just another soldier with a gun, an engineer by comparison is just another disposable trigger finger.

If we invest in engineers instead of telling them to shut up, take an assault rifle and run to their pointless death like russia does we will crush russia to pieces.

...which isn't to say being infantry is easy or something for simpleminded people at all but human wave tactics are a shocking waste...

There's infantry and there's meat shields. Experienced soldiers are also valuable - of course, russia doesn't give a fuck about that either, since they don't even bother to evacuate their own wounded most of the time.
