Right, obviously blocking works for individuals. Just not for the wider community, as banning does.
... yes... which is why both tools exist, and why you should report people who break community rules before blocking them.
This isn't complicated. I don't have to block anyone and none of you can make me. I have my reasons.

No, you don't need to block anyone, but blocking is a useful and important tool.

I literally didn't... I even explicitly said you dont need to block anyone. You might find fewer "trolls" if you bothered to read comments before responding to them.
