In the Belgorod region, 220 thousand people were left without electricity due to a power substation failure caused by "fire damage" inflicted by Ukraine, - the governor

β€œDear friends, due to the fire damage inflicted by the enemy, there are widespread power outages. At the moment, an accident occurred at one of the substations. The power outage affected more than 220 thousand subscribers in three municipalities: Belgorod, Belgorodsky, and Shebekinsky districts. Emergency crews are working. The restoration will take at least 4 hours,” - reported the region's governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov.

The local Telegram channel "Pepel" reports that disruptions in heating have also begun.

Power and heating outages in the Belgorod region began after attacks on energy infrastructure on February 6-7. After the bombing of the "Luch" thermal power station in Belgorod on February 8, children began to be evacuated to other regions.
