Just because the camera is old, doesn't mean it is slow.

Remember that the US used highspeed cameras to capture blasts waves when developing the explosive lenses for the nuclear bomb.

Taking a sharp image like this is simple, you have sunlight outside, plenty enough light for the shutterspeeds needed.
