3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.
Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.
4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.
Posts which titles don’t match the source may be removed. If the site changed their headline, we may ask you to update the post title. 5. Only recent news is allowed.
Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.
6. All posts must be news articles.
No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.
7. No duplicate posts.
If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.
8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.
All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.

Communism is fun until there is no more someone else's money for free handouts.
I adapted it but it's still valid I guess.
Expect companies to flee the state just as happened in LA.
Rhetoric like this is why the disparity in wealth continues to grow.
The problem isn't even our rulers; it's useful idiots.
Where do you think those billionaires got their money?
spoiler
Its all Someone Else's MoneyNew York as a whole has ridiculous taxes because of insane police budgets and corruption allowing stuff like ambulance companies charging the state 3K/trip for non-emergency weekly dialysis visits.
Which is weirdly similar to California which you'd think was a communist utopia the way rightwingers talk about it.
If I sell you a thing, it's no longer your money, it's my money. You get a thing that is now your thing.
It's easier to make money if you have money.
Do you think billionaires got their money through their own labor?
Jeff Bezos started Amazon and worked to expand it for decades. The company didn't make a profit for something like 20 years (but kept raising money and expanding). Sounds like labor to me
Do you think the millions of underpaid workers had anything to do with it?
They were paid the wage they signed the contract for. Underpaid scoring to whom?
Profit can be distorted based on how much personnel are being paid.
If you're seriously trying to argue Bezos earned his wealth, then you're part of the problem and I hope more people hold you socially accountable for it.
Nah, you get temporary conditional privileges to use my thing. And I decide the price because I'm the only company that makes the thing because I've used all of my previous exploitation of you to buy out all of my competitors and buy your government.
Free market so good
Yes, that's how renting works. If you don't want to rent, then buy
Same energy as "if you don't want to be poor, be rich".
If everyone wants to live in NYC, but NYC only fits a limited number of people it can only go two ways.
Either you develop more housing or the prices go up. Trying to manufacture a solution out of thin air like rent freezes is only going to delay the inevitable in the long run.
Problem is by now, I don't get that thing anymore. i get a freaking licence to use it for some time, and when you decide I don't own that licence anymore you got my money and I have nothing
Then purchase said thing if you don't like it
I do where I can, but often it is not possible to
a) find something you can actually buy, and call it your own. b) you still don't know if the creator t turns a darth vader on you and tells you "I'm altering the deal, pray I don't alter it further"
And the best thing: uf they brick it or move features behind a paywall (with an update after you "bought" it) and you circumvent their "security" to restore the function YOU are the criminal. Nice thing isn't it?
If you buy a thing that relies on a service, you didn't really buy it. That's why I buy stuff like the steam deck that I can run any OS on. I refuse to buy a device I don't own
Only time will let us know what will happen.
Weakest disengage ever.... You can do better!
Do you want to make any testable predictions, which would cause you to reevaluate your model if they don't pass?
This isn’t communism and social programs are a net positive in the long run. California is doing fine.
Narrator: California was not doing fine.
I'm from California, leftists fucked up San Francisco
What leftist policy did San Francisco pass that fucked it up?
You're not getting a real answer on that one, chief. Guy came to publicly lick boots and boat shoes.
They let people use drugs outside and didn't crack down on shoplifting or people breaking into cars
Do you think drug users should be in prison? Wage theft is greater than all other theft, combined. Do you think its a better use of limited police resources to go after shoplifters instead of following up on the millions of sexual assault cases?
Hint: its not the leftist policy that damaged communities to the extent people turn to drug use, nor is it leftist policy that left people poor and/or disenfranchised by society test they turn to petty theft.
No, but they should not be able to use in public. Who said anything about prison? Other cities have been able to keep them off the streets just fine.
Just because wage theft is a problem, doesn't mean petty theft is not a problem. While they are stealing a $100 tablet, they might break your car window that costs $300 to repair. How is this not something that the police should take care of?
nimbys fucked up san fransisco, so they can charge people 1-2k/month to live out of tents in their backyards
Both can be true at the same time
I’m curious, what’s your definition of communism?
Read about the horseshoe theory and you will know it.
We're asking what YOU define as communism.
I define it as something not much different than fascism. For me the main differences between these are the nationalist and globalist difference, fascism being national socialism and communism being globalist socialism.
I know the official definition of communism is just the owning of the means of production by the state which could be true but beside that there is always an elite of individuals which are in control and have a particular interest in controlling everyone else's lives for the good of "the proletariat" but more for their own interests.
So national socialism is a more localized doctrine and globalist socialism is a more global doctrine.
Ask a lib to describe communism and they describe capitalism.
Slightly more insidious than that is the attempt to conflate 'socialism' with 'national socialism', i.e. the Nazis. Seemingly every five minutes someone tries to conflate the two despite being on opposite sides of the political spectrum, hence the bullshit pseudoscience that is "horseshoe theory".
Libs: I just shit my pants. Both the communists and the nazis are trying to avoid me. That's because they're actually the same.
Then start taking their property and give it to the community of people who are running it anyways.
What about when there is no more someone else’s property left to “give to the community”?
Then the community has less burdens and it continues to build them as they always have for the rich.
You think you would just disappear because you can't suck rich people's dicks?
Then everything is community property and serves the interests of the community, instead of private interests, like functioning to increase qol and move us towards a post-work-to-live society.
There's the door then! points toward New Jersey
Lol a fucking mgtow 😂
