Why doesn't Colbert air his FCC equal time banned interview, and ask him some serious stuff and they can have an actual conversation. Then invite the person he is running against? (lemmy.world)

And ask him really noticable softball question, like what is your favorite color, or how many fingers is behind his back etc etc. Would that not be what the FCC is looking for in their equal time bullshit?

I mean if you watched the televised broadcast you'd understand the reason.

It wasn't to simply broadcast the interview. It was to "defy" Trump and his cronie Carr who specifically targeted The Late Show with the equal time bullshit after historically being included in the exception about it without actually defying shit. Malicious compliance.
