Is it wrong to love your children only because they’re the children of someone you love? For example, if you had kids with an ex-wife you didn’t love as much, and you feel like you wouldn’t love those children the same way because you don’t love your ex—would that be wrong?

That would be terribly fucked up to the child.

I love my daughter more than anything else in this world, even though I do not share that sentiment about my ex wife. It would be tragically shitty if my daughter had to grow up navigating her mentally ill mother AND didn’t have at least one parent there to support and love her unconditionally.
