How do they even know it's both you in cases like this?
I think they use a lot of heuristics.
To test I made a new VM with fresh browser, running with a VPN and I still got banned, although it took slightly longer (maybe a few days).
It's possible though my VPN was used on my old account at some point though. But still.
IP addressses and hardware identifiers.
Actually a lot of it is browser fingerprinting.
yeah. i might give it a try when i swap to mint, but why. i'm done with reddit.
