That's really exciting. Electric kits have so many features like lessons and metronomes as well. Once he gets the hang of things he should dig into presets and more of the weird settings they can use
He's very excited ๐ He and his dad are putting it together currently. It's not a very expensive top of the range kind of one (he would've liked something better) but I said you can try it and play around with the features and start to get an idea of what things you like or want as features, then get something else later down the track. It's a good starter kit and I wanted him to have that pride of having saved for something and got it.
One tip with the cheaper kits is put something heavy in front of the kick drum. He might end up moving the whole set as he plays otherwise because they can be a bit flimsy
Thanks for the tip! It came with this anti slide mat and the frame has these rubber stoppers on which seems to be working so far.
