Rule 2: Do not copy the entire article into your post. The key points in 1-2 paragraphs is allowed (even encouraged!), but large segments of articles posted in the body will result in the post being removed. If you have to stop and think "Is this fair use?", it probably isn't. Archive links, especially the ones created on link submission, are absolutely allowed but those that avoid paywalls are not.

Rule 3: Opinions articles, or Articles based on misinformation/propaganda may be removed.

Rule 4: Posts or comments that are homophobic, transphobic, racist, sexist, anti-religious, or ableist will be removed. “Ironic” prejudice is just prejudiced.

Rule 5: Keep it civil. It's OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It's NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.

Rule 6: Memes, spam, other low effort posting, reposts, misinformation, advocating violence, off-topic, trolling, offensive, regarding the moderators or meta in content may be removed at any time.

Rule 7: We didn't USED to need a rule about how many posts one could make in a day, then someone posted NINETEEN articles in a single day. Not comments, FULL ARTICLES. If you're posting more than say, 10 or so, consider going outside and touching grass. We reserve the right to limit over-posting so a single user does not dominate the front page.
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

Dear America,
I thought you elected you government in part for their promise to not get involved in any wars and foreign internal affairs. Then why are those of you who voted for them suddenly cheering this unprovoked aggression ordered by your draft dodger in order to enrich himself at your expense and sacrificing the lives of your young soldiers? Is your entire political identity based on whatever one political group lies about and cheats? If so, what you demonstrate is sycophancy, not a political identity.
Please don't tell me that this is about liberating the Iranian protestors. Look, I dislike the Iranian regime as much as any of you, and am concerned about the ordinary people there. But your orange dictator has shown zero concerns for the protestors, despite his deceitful performance to the contrary. Guess why the Iranian regime massacred 30K of them. His onerous farce was the provocation for that. If all that wasn't evidence enough for you, how about your killing of 51 primary school girls? I guess they were future Islamic terrorists in training?
You know as much as we do that the poor Iranian citizens celebrating your victory are actually in for something even worse. Your current regime isn't just a warmonger like those of the past. This one consists exclusively of racists, xenophobes and every other brand of bigots, who aspire to resurrect the dreadful days of colonialism and slavery, with the added horrors of modern technology. You're deluding yourself if you think this is about benevolence, love and freedom and not about plundering the Iranians' wealth and natural resources for enriching the regime's inner circle. And what do you even get in return for funding such destructive wars? Decent health care? Affordable food, rentals? Fair wages? What is wrong with you? Do you suffer from irresistible war fetish like your gun fetish? And besides all that, how are your other 'regime changes' turning out for you? Has a single one of your 'freedom campaigns' worked in yours or the victim country's favor, much less in the interests of the world? Haven't you learned a single lesson from the horrific tragedy you call 9/11? Are you sadists and masochists at the same time?
The rest of the nations all over the planet are worried now because your 'peace president' has destabilized the entire Middle East and possibly the Mediterranean. It has set events in motion that will cause a global recession. Aren't you satisfied with ruining only your own economy? And even if Iranian regime is destroyed, the consequences of that aggression won't be. A lot of innocent people will pay the terrible price and cycle of violence and tragedy will run its course for decades, if not centuries. Your wannabe Nobel Peace Prize laureate just lighted a fuse on a global scale powder keg. Please keep your demented megalomaniacs within your backyard. Or else somebody will lose their patience and decide to handle you along with them, and that will ultimately lead to an unimaginable apocalypse that the world vowed to avoid 80 years ago. Is that the legacy you seek? The same one that Hitler and the Nazis earned?

MAGA is a cult (and consists of previously existing cults such as Evangelical Christianity). As Trump said, there's nothing he could do to lose their support.
Many countries are supporting these wars, death, and destruction as well (e.g. France, Germany, U.K., many countries in the region, Israel).
I know it feels good to vent, but the vast majority of Americans here already hate most of the American government (and the private entities that guide it).
And since you brought them up, Germany didn't solve its own Nazi problem. Help. And stay vigilant because this problem is not confined to the United States, the Anglosphere, or even the "West". We're just further along.
I don't know about the part about the 'vast majority'. CNN's polls always show a significant chunk, at least 1 in 3 Americans, who support this regime. Besides all that, check the comment sections of Fox News (I know how much you hate it. But it's good to gauge the opinions of the other side.), many YouTube channels, etc.
As in on Lemmy. It's not exactly a right-wing bastion.

This is just depressing. Why do these mass murderers always go after children?
