What's the best way to sort Lemmy? (lemmy.ca)

I've found that "Hot" often gives me posts I have seen days before, same with "Most Comments". So far I've found that "Top Day" is best, but then I lose a lot of posts from my smaller communities

How do you sort your Lemmy instance? Any tips I'm missing?

New and top.

Hot and Active are bugged in the current version, they are supposed to update a lot more frequently than they currently do.

I also prefer "New" and "Top Day", but for different community lists:

Local + New for what's going on around lemmy.ca communities
Subscribed + Top Day for the wider Fediverse communities I'm subbed to as a sort of "daily digest"

Yeah, you know something is wrong when All + Hot is full of posts from 6 days ago.

EDIT: I don't know if there was a server update last night, but Hot and Active are giving me much fresher results now.
