I can see a possible holding of Tehran and air space above Iran but as a way to affect change it won't happen, they can just move the government until gorillas activity forces the US to leave.

There's a very good reason no one went toe to toe with them in a local conflict.

Yeah, taking any single city isn't going to change anything.
