However one feels about the AI code itself, obscuring its origin shows that they believe there to be no issues with how they are using the technology and is a huge turnoff.

Edit: I don't know their policies, but there's other launcher out there if it's a big enough deal for some people. Faugus (terrible name) would be my go-to. Heroic is there, but I think it's slow and has even worse UX. I still don't understand Bottles and don't see any upside to what it does, which is ignore the standardization the other launchers have with stuff like umu.
