I've had a few cheapo watches and it's the strap that breaks for me. Latest one I got one with a metal ๐Ÿค˜ strap and it's held strong. Not a great watch though, it can't tell my 3am doomscrolling from sleep. It's smaller too which I like, many seem jumbo sized feeling like a brick on my wrist.

The standard watches definitely feel too big these days. I got a Samsung Fit3 which is smaller. It's fairly limited in what it does but covers everything I need it to do.
