The problem with allying with Trump is he will always cast you aside at his earliest convenience.
While trump will throw anyone under any bus, I wouldn’t put it past Pete to get drunk and tell trump what would REALLY solve his problems 🥴 and everyone knows trump does what the last person he talked to told him to.
