Everyone in my family just turns their head to the side and lets their sneeze rip into the house. I've only convinced one of them to cover their sneeze sometimes.
I told my sister that if she couldn't grab a tissue in time, then she could pull the collar of her T-shirt up over her nose (a move I copied from my friend from Vietnam) and she said "that's gross!" 
...But coating the entire room in a fine mist of the same stuff isn't!? That's like opting to throw your turd at a moving house fan instead of shitting your pants.
I also had a classmate who would sneeze with so much substance that I could literally see chunks of snot hit the floor. 
Person ringing up and bagging my groceries coughed into their hand repeatedly before touching my stuff. I was too tired and zoned out to even notice until the end and didn't feel like having a conflict, so I just did the definitely responsible thing and forgot all about it in like 10 seconds (again, very very tired lol).
Anyways I always think, "how hard is it to just cough/sneeze into your elbow?"
