This is where you come to post big-brained hot takes by chuds, libs, or even fellow leftists, and tear them to itty-bitty pieces with precision dunkstrikes.

MODERATORS
being extremely obnoxious about linguistics (wikipedia pages and arguing over descriptive vs prescriptive only) was one of the defining characteristics of early reddit comment sections. That shit still sets off my alarm bells lol

I chose linguistics as my example of autodidactical solipsistic bullshit because of experience with the type.
EDIT: Disclaimer: I'm didn't intend to knock Chomsky's linguistics expertise; I had used an emoji about him because I mentioned linguistics, but now I see how that can be taken as saying he wasn't qualified as a linguist, which wasn't my intention so I removed the emoji. That said, he can be criticized for other reasons
that's not quite fair whatever you think about Chomsky politically his work on linguistics is impressive.
