I know this isnt soley a steamdeck issue but its driving me crazy. Everyday I get from work im super stoked to play my new steam deck and every day with out fail it has 3-7 gigs worth of updates to install for apex.

When I get home, im ready to play. I dont want to sit and watch this thing update.

I dont want to play any other games.

And even if I do, say play dead cells perhaps, it links to the cloud and stops updating apex.

Its so frustrating to be excited for somthing and wait for it all day. Just to get home and have to sit and wait for another 30 mins watching it trickel in.

Id rather do chores.

Also the new revanent suck.

End rant.

On the steam deck go to Settings > Downloads > Enable Automatic Updates. That should download the updates as soon as they are pushed onto Steam

While this works, it can be pretty detrimental to game performance to be updating in the background.

You can also just enable background downloads for specific low performance games, and play those while you wait on downloads.
