Nonono you see, the Uyghur genocide is real, those sneaky Chinese are just really really good at hiding it! The lack of evidence is actually proof that it's happening and really shows how sneaky those Chinese are!!!!

That absolutely is a real take that I've seen.
Too late, I've already heard this one multiple times, both from Lemmy libs and IRL.
It is kind of satisfying to get them to that point though, shows that deep down, the only thing fueling them is just blind racism, no actual empathy for the people of Xinjiang.
