I keep trying to start, but quickly encounter perhaps overly strong negative feelings towards being a person destroying a fictional alien ecosystem for corporate greed, and quit again.

I run into the same problem when trying to play games like Before We Leave (iirc that title), which involves carpet-industrializing entire planets so that you can make rockets go do the same thing to even more planets.

Maybe when the story aspect is finished, if it's done well/is satisfying and involves escaping and or one-upping the corp, then I'll finally play it. ๐Ÿ™ƒ

if automation is your jam but the colonizing aspect isnโ€™t (totally respect that), shapez may interest you. I think they have a free browser version to try it out too!

It's only a fictional videogame! Haha! I can understand the feels though. I've been replaying the Mass Effect Trilogy recently and had decided to go full renegade for the lols, I got half way through the first game and realized I just wanted to feel good and decent about my choices and restarted for yet another paragon run! ๐Ÿ˜‚
