Megathread for Reddit Blackouts and News - Day 2
(beehaw.org)
A nice place to discuss rumors, happenings, innovations, and challenges in the technology sphere. We also welcome discussions on the intersections of technology and society. If it’s technological news or discussion of technology, it probably belongs here.
Remember the overriding ethos on Beehaw: Be(e) Nice. Each user you encounter here is a person, and should be treated with kindness (even if they’re wrong, or use a Linux distro you don’t like). Personal attacks will not be tolerated.

I swapped my Sync app on my homescreen out for Jebroa for Lemmy, so when I instinctively go to open Reddit, I open Lemmy instead. Seems to be working well so far!
Substitute RiF for Sync, and it's otherwise the same for me.
Yeah, the problem is my phone has that predictive/sugestion bar at the bottom when you open the search bar and more often than not boost is there and my brain goes "oooh, click it!" and im very bad at deleting apps, my way around hoarding apps was restricting the apps i install in the first place. But i opened Jerboa enough last night that its showing is right beside it and I'm keeping Lemmy logged in on the browser.
