I mean, I assume it’s real. But I went there out of curiosity and they share these - sometimes obvious - fake articles or Instagram photos as “proof” that Ukrainians are all nazis. It’s all so silly, I can’t phantom the idea that it’s not just satire. Unlike China they have internet access to everything in Russia, right?

Probably started out as satire/half satire but it is definitely a place filled with hate and should defederated imo.

Remember that the donald on reddit started as a satire subreddit. Q-anon theories were originally 4-chan trolls...

Allowing users to block entire instances is the #1 feature I would like to see on Lemmy

People unironically think China is isolated from the world and have no access to the internet? Have any of you ever even met a Chinese person? Lmao

In any case, Lemmygrad is serious and satire at the same time. It’s filled with shitposting, but from communists and not the usual nazis from most other “anti-Liberal” social media places.

But there are more serious communities in there, not just shitposting. But they are ML, like “tankies”. So if you’re a Liberal, just don’t go there? Lol

Unfortunately I don't think it's satire. You should check out their modlog, then come visit us at the modlog community!

I first went there I laughed about how silly it was and made a few posts. Then people took it too serious.

We don't claim that all Ukrainians are nazis. That's absurd. We say that it has a pretty bad nazi problem and the media are lying their asses off about pretty much everything in the war. Pointing out media contradictions about the war is fun. Here's some articles from just before the war. Nowadays these would be unprintable in the west.

Isn't it funny how enemies of the US eat babies, and allies are always saints? Everyone else just gets ignored. There's virtually no coverage of the Sudan or Yemen wars, although Sudan is in much worse shape than Ukraine. The media is too busy drumming up hate for Russia.
