I'm sure this is a lot more common than we realize

Benefits in exchange for sexual favours? It's a fairly modern trend, if you count the invention of writing as the start of the modern world.

I think it was going this way before anyone anywhere knew how to write or draw a picture or even mark a line in the sand.

Sex is a powerful idea ... it is everything .. it's power, it's weakness, it's valued, it's worthless, we want it, we crave it, yet want to avoid it and forget it .. we know it exists, yet never talk about it .. we celebrate it, yet never want to show it .. it costs a fortune yet see it as cheap

I mean, it’s unthinkable, to me, that anyone would be so bold and expect to get away with it. That alone suggests that it’s more than just this. What a fucked up world.

“As soon as it occurred to me that there might have been other people who were impacted, I knew I was going to do something,” she said. “I want to see accountability and want to make sure it never happens again."

Boss.

The article mentions that the landlord is 80. Isn't one symptom of dementia having way less inhibition? Let's hope that this guy wasn't preying on women his whole life.

To be crystal clear, I'm in no way defending him. She had to close her shop because of this and should be paid damages, and regardless of why he's acting this way he should no longer be in a position of authority as a landlord as he's abusive to his tenants.
